Ponyhill
Kiss Me Kate was our first Mini Aussie. It was because of her that I met my good friend
Diane Turner who later bought Reno, a male mini aussie I used in my program.
Katie has always excelled in "dog sports" but because of an injury she can only take it in short spurts.
While Katie was training for flyball , her tab was too long. I argued with the instructor about the length of it, but her back foot was caught in it and her toes slammed into the jump and busted all of them. Katie was on bed rest for 4 weeks to let her foot heal.
Katie comes from
a long line of famous Standard Aussie working dogs, such as CH.
Hemi Regal Request CD, STDs. OTDd, and CH.
McGuire's Semi Go Hemi UTD,STDd,OTDc. SchHA She carries many old, almost
extinct, working bloodlines.
Aside
from her wonderful heritage, she stole our hearts and exceeded our expectations
for a dog. Katie is a biddible, hardworking, loyal and a devoted little aussie.
She is an excellent ambassador for the breed. She is quick, agile and smart.
Katie is able to follow a series of commands throughout the house retrieving
objects and keeping puppies in line.
Katie enjoys herding and has a special affinity for children. She loves people and is driven by a desire to please. She is alert and attentive. She often accompanies me to school for special events in my classroom. My students enjoy her immensely. She eagerly obeys their commands. She is a real pleasure to own.
Katie earned her Canine Good Citizen title on Sept. 8, 2001 with flying colors.
